Under the authority of

section 257 of the Municipalities Act

and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act

, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

This Order may be cited as the Town of Fermeuse Order

The boundaries of the Town of

Fermeuse

are as set out in the Schedule.

Schedule

Beginning at the point of highest elevation on Butter Pot Hill, that point being a geodetic control point and then running north 3,650 metres, more or less;

Then running east 4,400 metres, more or less, to a point in the centre line of the Southern Shore Highway (Route 10);

Then running south 75 east 3,350 metres, more or less;

Then running south 26 west 450 metres, more or less, to the centre line of the Ferry Road;

Then running along the centre line of the

Ferry Road

to the northern limit of the main highroad connecting Fermeuse and Port Kirwan;

Then running south 400 metres, more or less, to the northern shoreline of

Fermeuse

Harbour

Then following the shoreline of

Fermeuse

Harbour

to Bear Cove Head at the southern entrance to

Fermeuse

Harbour

Then running in a generally southerly direction along the eastern shoreline of the

Avalon Peninsula

to a point known locally as South Point;

Then running north 65 west 4,400 metres, more or less, to a point in the centre line of the Southern Shore Highway (Route 10);

Then running north 78 west 7,150 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
