OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Nova Scotia Police Review Board dated May 28, 2013 and pursuant to Sections 13 and 15 of

Chapter 31 of the Acts of 2004, the Police Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Lester Jesudason of Halifax Regional Municipality (Bedford) as member and designate him as Chair of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board effective June 17, 2013, for a term of one year; (

b) fix the remuneration of Lester Jesudason as Chair of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board at $200 per meeting; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Lester Jesudason and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
