OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness, dated December 5, 2019, and pursuant to
Section 65 of
Chapter 42 of the Acts of 2005, the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act , and
Section 18 of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act , is pleased to: (
a) revoke the appointment of Patricia Esteves of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as a lay member of the Review Board, made by Order in Council 2019-30 dated February 6, 2019, effective December 17, 2019; (
b) reappoint Christopher Murphy of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a psychiatrist member of the Review Board for a term of four years commencing December 17, 2019; (
c) reappoint Stephen Johnson of Ellershouse, Hants County, and appoint Jean Candy of Windsor, Hants County, Judy Heffern of Halifax Regional Municipality (Hammonds Plains) and Martin Zwicker of Halifax Regional Municipality (Fletchers Lake) as lay members of the Review Board, each for a term of three years commencing December 17, 2019; (
d) reappoint Stephen J. Scott of Halifax Regional Municipality (Bedford) and appoint Myra Jerome of Halifax Regional Municipality (Musquodoboit Harbour) and Billy Sparks of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as lawyer members of the Review Board, each for a term of three years commencing December 17, 2019; (
e) reappoint John Boddie of Halifax Regional Municipality (Upper Tantallon) as a lawyer member of the Review Board for a term of two years commencing December 17, 2019; and (
f) reappoint Jasmine M. Ghosn of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a lawyer member of the Review Board for a term of three years commencing November 22, 2020, and designate her as Chair of the Review Board commencing December 17, 2019.
