AMENDMENT REGULATION

Services (M.O. 2024-003) on March 25, 2024 pursuant to

section 33 of the Personal

Directives Act.

1 The Personal Directives (Ministerial) Regulation

(AR 26/98) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 2.1 is amended by striking out "August 15, 2024"

and substituting "August 15, 2025".

Schedule 1 is amended in

section 9 by striking out

"August 15, 2024" and substituting "August 15, 2025".

Safety Codes Act

EXEMPTION AMENDMENT REGULATION

For information only: Made by the Minister of Municipal Affairs (M.O. 002/24) on

March 28, 2024 pursuant to

section 2(2) of the Safety Codes Act.

1 The Exemption Regulation (AR 351/2003) is amended by

this Regulation.

Section 5.1(1)(

a) is amended by striking out "National

Building Code - 2019 Alberta Edition as declared in force by the

Building Code Regulation (AR 31/2015)" and substituting "code

declared in force with respect to buildings by

section 1 of the Building

Code Regulation (AR 5/2024)".

Section 10.1 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1)

(

i) by repealing clause (

a) and substituting the

following:

(a) "Building Code" means the code declared in force

with respect to buildings by

section 1 of the

Building Code Regulation (AR 5/2024);

(ii) in clause (

b) by striking out "National Building

Code - 2019 Alberta Edition" and substituting

"Building Code";

(

b) in subsection (2)

(

i) by striking out "(AR 31/2015)" and substituting

"(AR 5/2024)";

(ii) by striking out "National Building Code - 2019

Alberta Edition" and substituting "Building Code";

(

c) in subsection (3) by striking out "National Building

Code - 2019 Alberta Edition" and substituting "Building

Code".

4 This Regulation comes into force on May 1, 2024.

AMENDMENT ORDER

March 28, 2024 pursuant to

section 30.1 of the Safety Codes Act.

1 The Alberta Safety Codes Authority Order (AR 29/2016) is

amended by this Order.

Section 4(1)(

a) is amended by striking out "(AR 31/2015)"

and substituting "(AR 5/2024)".

3 This Order comes into force on May 1, 2024.

1 The New Home Buyer Protection (Ministerial) Regulation

(AR 220/2013) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 2(1)(

a) is amended by striking out "Alberta Building

Code 2006 declared in force by the Building Code Regulation

(AR 117/2007)" and substituting "code declared in force with

respect to buildings by

section 1 of the Building Code Regulation

(AR 5/2024)".

3 This Regulation comes into force on May 1, 2024.
