Statute: Natural Products Marketing Act Members and Public Employees Disclosure Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture dated January 29, 2010, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 308 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Natural Products Marketing Act, is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Ann Landers, as a Member of the Nova Scotia Natural Products Marketing Council, representing the Nova Scotia Milk Processors' Division of the Atlantic Dairy Council, for a term of three years commencing April 1, 2010 and expiring March 31, 2013 or until Ann Landers is no longer working for Farmers Co-operative Dairy Limited; (

b) determine the rate of remuneration for carrying out duties as Member to be $100 per day; (

c) determine that reasonable expenses necessarily incurred by the Member in carrying out duties of the Council shall be paid in accordance with Provincial Government policy; (

d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate, or settle claims or charges made against Ann Landers and indemnify her from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of activities in relation to her appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case; and (

e) determine, as a condition of her appointment, that Ann Landers shall be bound by the principles and purposes of the Corporate Code of Conduct for Civil Servants and

Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1991, the Members and Public Employees Disclosure Act.
