OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage dated December 17, 2013, and pursuant to

Section 10 of

Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1998, the Public Archives Act , is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Dr. Allan Marble of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Public Archives of Nova Scotia, being a representative from the Genealogical Association of Nova Scotia, for a term of three years commencing March 4, 2014; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Dr. Allan Marble of the Public Archives of Nova Scotia Board of Trustees, and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
