OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education, dated August 20, 2015, and pursuant to Sections 3, 5 and 6 of
Chapter 37 of the Acts of 2010, the Labour Board Act , is pleased to: (
a) appoint Gloria Ley-Spencer of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Main-A-Dieu) as an employee member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
b) reappoint Cordell Cole of Halifax Regional Municipality (White’s Lake) as an employee member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
c) reappoint Kenneth Estabrooks of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as an employee member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
d) reappoint Edward M. MacNeil of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Sydney) as an employee member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 2 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
e) reappoint Dannie MacDonald of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (South Bar) as an employee member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 2 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
f) reappoint Arthur Ross Mitchell of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as an employee member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
g) reappoint Thomas Patterson of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as an employee member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
h) reappoint Larry Wark of Halifax Regional Municipality (Upper Hammonds Plains) as an employee member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
i) appoint Rick Anderson of Halifax Regional Municipality (Head of Chezzetcook) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
j) reappoint Gary Dean of Halifax Regional Municipality (Bedford) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 2 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
k) reappoint George Fox of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
l) reappoint Demetri Kachafanas of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Sydney) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
m) appoint Gordon MacLean of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
n) reappoint Allan Stapleton of Halifax Regional Municipality (Middle Sackville) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
o) reappoint Marinus Van de Sande of Truro, Colchester County, as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; (
p) reappoint Donna VanBuskirk of Halifax Regional Municipality (Enfield) as an employer member of the Labour Board for a term of office of 3 years commencing September 18, 2015; and (
q) fix the remuneration of each of the employer and employee members of the Labour Board in the following aggregate amounts, payable to each for their service as an employer or employee member of the Labour Board: (i) $200.00 per day for each day the member conducts a hearing as a member or participates in necessary training; (ii) $150.00 per day for each day the member necessarily attends to the business of the Labour Board, as a member, except while conducting a hearing or participating in necessary training; (iii) such actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by the member in the discharge of their duties, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service.
