Statute: Gas Distribution Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Energy dated February 18, 2003, pursuant to Sections 8 and 9 of

Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1997, the Gas Distribution Act, is pleased to: (

a) approve the granting by the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board of a full regulation class franchise to Heritage Gas Limited for the franchise area as approved by the Board; (

b) approve the granting, in principle, by the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board of a full class franchise to Strait Area Gas Corporation for a franchise area approved by the Board; (

c) approve the terms and conditions of the franchise to be granted to Heritage Gas Limited by the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board as set forth in Appendix "A" to its decision dated February 7, 2003 (NSUARB-NG-02); and (

d) approve the directives on the approval to grant, in principle, a franchise to Strait Area Gas Corporation by the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board as set forth in Appendix "B" of its decision dated February 7, 2003 (NSUARB-NG-02).
