OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated February 16, 2006, pursuant to Sections 4 and 25M of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,

Section 2 of

Chapter 260 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Liquor Control Act, and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased, effective February 16, 2006, to: (

a) accept the resignation and revoke the appointment of the Honourable Ernest L. Fage as Minister of Economic Development, Minister of Communications Nova Scotia, Minister of Emergency Management, Minister responsible for the Liquor Control Act and Minister responsible for the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation; (

b) appoint the Honourable Jamie Muir, a Member of the Executive Council, as the Minister responsible for the Office of Economic Development, who may be described as the Minister of Economic Development; (

c) assign supervision of the administration of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation to the Honourable Jamie Muir, a Member of the Executive Council, who may be described as the Minister responsible for the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation; (

d) assign supervision of the administration of the Liquor Control Act to the Honourable Jamie Muir, a Member of the Executive Council, who may be described as the Minister responsible for the Liquor Control Act; (

e) assign responsibility for the Office of Communications Nova Scotia to the Honourable Jamie Muir, a Member of the Executive Council, who may be described as the Minister of Communications Nova Scotia; and (

f) assign responsibility for the Emergency Management Office to the Honourable Jamie Muir, a Member of the Executive Council, who may be described as the Minister of Emergency Management.
