Interpretation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Finance and Treasury Board and the Minister of Service Nova Scotia dated March 6, 2025, and pursuant to Sections 65 and 75 of

Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act,

Section 6 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act , is pleased to authorize the Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury Board and the Deputy Minister of Service Nova Scotia entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Canada Revenue Agency for the collection of debts due to the Government of Nova Scotia by way of a refund set-off, substantially in the form set forth in

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, subject only to such variations as do not materially change the memorandum of understanding.
