OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated May 30, 2012, and pursuant to Sections 7, 14C and 14G of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act,

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and

Section 20 of

Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act, is pleased, effective June 11, 2012 to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Paul LaFleche as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture; (

b) revoke the appointment of Rosalind Penfound as Deputy Minister of Education; (

c) revoke the appointment of Margaret MacDonald as Deputy Minister of Finance; (

d) revoke the appointment of Elizabeth Cody as Deputy Minister of the Treasury Board Office and Chief Executive Officer of the Chief Information Office; (

e) revoke the appointment of Jane Fraser as Acting Deputy Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal; (

f) appoint Paul LaFleche as Deputy Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal; (

g) appoint Rosalind Penfound as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture; (

h) appoint Margaret MacDonald as Deputy Minister of the Treasury Board Office and Chief Executive Officer of the Chief Information Office; (

i) appoint Elizabeth Cody as Deputy Minister of Finance (

j) appoint Frank Dunn as Acting Deputy Minister of Education; (

k) designate Paul LaFleche, Rosalind Penfound, Margaret MacDonald, Elizabeth Cody and Frank Dunn as deputy heads within the meaning of the Civil Service Act; (

l) fix and determine the salaries of Paul LaFleche, Rosalind Penfound, Margaret MacDonald, Elizabeth Cody and Frank Dunn to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Premier; (

m) direct that Paul LaFleche, Rosalind Penfound, Margaret MacDonald, Elizabeth Cody and Frank Dunn shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Premier; and (

n) designate Paul LaFleche, Rosalind Penfound, Margaret MacDonald, Elizabeth Cody and Frank Dunn to be and to have been employees for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
