An Act to amend The Department of Agriculture Act. [Assented to April 24, 1979.] H ER Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as The Department of Agriculture Amend- ment Act, 19 79. 2.

Section of The Department of Agriculture Act is repealed and the following substituted: "9. -0) Subject to the approval of the minister, the department may make grants: (

a) to assist persons engaged in agricultural operations; (

b) to assist in the promotion, development, expansion, maintenance, or any other aspect of the agricultural industry in the province; (

c) for agricultural testing, development, improvement or research programs or to persons participating in those pro grams; but no grant made under this subsection shall exceed $10,000. "

(2) Subject to the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, the minister may make grants in amounts in excess of $10,000 for the purposes mentioned in subsection (I)". 1
