OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for administration of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act dated August 24, 2011, and pursuant to
Section 5 of
Chapter 3 of the revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint Wanda T. Bernard, Felicia R. Eghan, Beatrice (Bea) LeBlanc and Ivy Shaw as members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women each for a term of three (3) years commencing October 4, 2011; and (
b) appoint Rhonda Y. Britton and Doreen Parsons as members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women each for a term of one (1) year commencing October 4, 2011; and (
c) revoke Order in Council 79-89 dated January 23, 1979, as amended by Order in Council 97-532 dated July 30, 1997, and fix the remuneration for members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women in the following aggregate amounts: i. $100.00 per day for each day they attend as members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women, at meetings of the Council; and ii. such actual and reasonable travelling and other expenses as may reasonably be incurred by them in the performance of their duties, payable in accordance with the travel policies and guidelines of the Province of Nova Scotia, as set out in the Travel Policy located in the Management Manual 500; and (
d) revoke that portion of Order in Council 97-532 dated July 30, 1997, which occurs after "Chair", the second time it appears, and fix the remuneration of the Chair of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women in the following aggregate amounts: i. $150.00 per day for each day the Chair attends as Chair of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women, at meetings of the Council; and ii. such actual and reasonable travelling and other expenses as may be incurred by the Chair in the performance of the duties of the Chair, payable in accordance with the travel policies and guidelines of the Province of Nova Scotia as set out in the Travel Policy located in the Management Manual 500.
