Citation

1 These regulations may be cited as the Fees Regulations .

Definitions

2 In these regulations,

“Act” means the Housing Supply and Services Act ;

“debtor” means

(

i) a person who owes payment or performance of an obligation secured

or unsecured, whether or not that person owns or has rights in the

collateral, and

(ii) the transferee of a debtor’s interest in the collateral;

“Department” means the Department of Municipal Affairs and Housing;

“Minister” means the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing;

“security interest” means an interest in property, including personal and real

property, that secures payment or performance of an obligation.

3 The Minister may charge a debtor the fees set out in the following table for the purposes

Request for copy of record of security interest

3 A debtor may obtain a copy of a record that secures a security interest granted by the

debtor to the Department by doing all of the following:

(

a) making a request in writing to the Department that specifies the subject

matter of the record requested with sufficient details to enable an individual

familiar with the subject matter to identify the record;

(

b) paying the fee set out in

Section 2 for each record.
