OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Public Works dated March 4, 2025, and pursuant to

Section 18 of

Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act, and

Section 80 of

Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act, is pleased to: (

a) extinguish the right of the public to use that portion of the public highway, identified as Parcels 5, 6, 7 and 8 containing a combined area of 627 square metres (0.15 acres), located at or near Highway No. 7, Popes Harbour, Halifax County, more particularly shown on

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

b) authorize the conveyance of the parcel of surplus land, Parcel 5, to James Yeomans and Andrew Noonan, both of Dartmouth, Halifax County, for the nominal consideration of $1.00; (

c) authorize the conveyance of the parcels of surplus land, Parcels 6 & 7, to James Yeomans and Patricia Yeomans, both of Halifax, Halifax County, for the nominal consideration of $1.00; (

d) authorize the conveyance of the parcel of surplus land, Parcel 8, to Emily Jane Yeomans and Lauren Elizabeth Yeomans, both of Halifax, Halifax County, for the nominal consideration of $1.00; (

e) authorize the Minister of Public Works to make and execute a Deed or Deeds of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to effect the conveyance of the lands herein above described; and (

f) authorize the Minister of Public Works to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
