OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Heritage dated December 10, 2009, and pursuant to

Section 6 of

Chapter 7 of the Acts of 1995-96, the Government Records Act, is pleased to, effective, December 21, 2009: (

a) appoint Leslie MacLeod, Chief Information Access and Privacy Officer, Department of Justice as a member of the Government Records Committee for a term of five years; (

b) appoint Wayne Richard, Manager, Information Architecture, Department of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations as a member of the Government Records Committee for a period of five years; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Leslie MacLeod and Wayne Richard of the Government Records Committee and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
