OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour dated May 31, 1999, pursuant to Sections 16 and 94 of

Chapter 475 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Trade Union Act,

Section 9 of

Chapter 1 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995, the Education Act,

Section 20 of

Chapter 15 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995, the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre Act,

Section 12 of

Chapter 16 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995, the Act Respecting Regional Municipalities,

Section 41 of

Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995-96, the Community Colleges Act, and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased, effective June 4, 1999, to: (

a) determine that Susan Ashley shall, in respect of any application, matter or thing heard before her or commenced by her as a member or Vice-chair of the Labour Relations Board (Nova Scotia) or the Construction Industry Panel in the course of her appointment by Order in Council 96-423 dated June 4, 1996, have and exercise the jurisdiction of a member or Vice-chair, as the case may be, including the power to complete any unfinished matter and give a decision therein and ending at such time that she has completed any unfinished matters and given decisions therein; and (

b) fix the remuneration of Susan Ashley at a rate of $300.00 for each day she attends a meeting of the Labour Relations Board (Nova Scotia) or the Construction Industry Panel as Vice-chair, in addition to actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by her in the discharge of her duties.
