OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness dated May 4, 2021, and pursuant to
Section 16 of
Chapter 197 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Health Services and Insurance Act , and pursuant to
Section 77 of
Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act , and in accordance with the Department of Health and Wellness Capital Grants Program, is pleased to approve support by the Minister of Health and Wellness on behalf of the Province for the Nova Scotia Health Authority to expend in an amount not to exceed one million and five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000.00) to cover the cost to purchase the Stryker Mako Surgical Robotic Arm System, including the Stryker Robotic Arm System (Mako/Rio), Mako Total Knee Application, Mako Partial Knee Application, Mako Total Hip Application and 5 year service coverage agreement, which amount will be reimbursed to Nova Scotia Health Authority by the QEII Health Sciences Centre Foundation at the completion of a fundraising campaign.
