OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated March 2, 2010, and pursuant to

Section 5 of

Chapter 17 of the Acts of Nova Scotia, 1990, the Law Reform Commission Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Dr. Brian R. Joseph, Ph.D. of North Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, as a commissioner of the Law Reform Commission of Nova Scotia for a term of three years commencing April 7, 2010; (

b) determine the remuneration of Dr. Brian R. Joseph to be at the rate of $150.00 per day, plus reasonable expenses incurred; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Dr. Brian R. Joseph and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity.
