OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated June 4, 2024, and pursuant to

Section 52 of

Chapter 1 (1992 Supplement) of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the House of Assembly Act, and Sections 18 and 19 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act , is pleased, effective July 2, 2024, to: (

a) revoke Order in Council 2009-224 dated May 4, 2009, appointing Karen Kinley, K.C. as a Legislative Counsel; (

b) appoint Genevieve Harvey, Barrister, of Dartmouth, in the Province of Nova Scotia, as a Legislative Counsel; (

c) determine the salary scale of Genevieve Harvey to be in accordance with the MCP Legal Services Pay Plan in force from time to time and determine the salary of Genevieve Harvey to be at such class and level as is determined from time to time by the Chair of the House of Assembly Management Commission; and (

d) direct that Genevieve Harvey, in carrying out her duties shall be subject to the supervision, direction and control of the Chief Legislative Counsel.
