OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour, Skills and Immigration, dated October 22, 2021, and pursuant to Sections 151, 152 and 153 of

Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers’ Compensation Act , is pleased to: (

a) appoint Saeed El-Darahali of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as a member and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia for a term of five (5) years commencing November 9, 2021; and (

b) order that Saeed El-Darahali be remunerated in the amount of $20,000 per year, to be paid pro rata, plus $300 per day for attendance at meetings of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia and its committees and for meeting preparation days, to a maximum total remuneration of $50,000 per year in addition to reimbursement for reasonable expenses incurred in connection with the work of the Board of Directors, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service.
