Statute: Highway 104 Western Alignment Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Public Works dated August 13, 2001, and pursuant to

Section 8 and subsection 9(2) of

Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995, the Highway 104 Western Alignment Act, is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Lee Rankin as a Director of the Highway 104 Western Alignment Corporation for a term commencing October 1, 2001, and ending September 30, 2006; (

b) require the Province of Nova Scotia to defend, negotiate or settle claims made against Lee Rankin in the performance of his duties as a Director of the Highway 104 Western Alignment Corporation during the term of his appointment and indemnify him from personal liability arising from his appointment provided, however, that any claim arising out of his activities in relation to the appointment is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case; and (

c) determine that Lee Rankin is bound by the principles and purposes of both the Corporate Code of Conduct for Civil Servants and

Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1991, as amended, the Members and Public Employees' Disclosure Act.
