Order in Council 527/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 has been proclaimed into force on April 1, 2024;

Therefore , pursuant to subsection 102 (1) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019,

Joseph Dominic Maiorano of North York

is hereby appointed as a Deputy Inspector General of Policing to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding three years, effective from the later of April 1, 2024 and the date this Order in Council is made.
