OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour dated April 13, 1999, pursuant to
Section 16 of
Chapter 475 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Trade Union Act,
Section 9 of
Chapter 1 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995, the Education Act,
Section 20 of
Chapter 15 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995-96, the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre Act,
Section 12 of
Chapter 16 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995-96, the Regional Municipalities Act,
Section 41 of
Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1995-96, the Community Colleges Act, and
Section 18 of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act, is pleased to: (
a) in respect of Peter E. Darby, amend Order in Council 91-305 dated March 12, 1991, as amended by Order in Council 91-783 dated June 25, 1991, as amended by Order in Council 93-766 dated September 15, 1993, by adding "for a term of office of three (3) years effective April 28, 1999" immediately after "(Nova Scotia)" in clause (a); (
b) in respect of Bruce P. Archibald amend Order in Council 92-668 dated June 30, 1992, as amended by Order in Council 93-766 dated September 15, 1993, by adding "and for a term of office of five (5) years effective April 28, 1999" immediately after the phrase "effective the 13th day of July, A.D., 1992" in clause (b); (
c) in respect of Phillip Veinotte amend Order in Council 95-692 dated September 6, 1995, by striking out the phrase "at pleasure" in clause (
b) and substituting "for a term of office of five (5) years effective April 28, 1999"; (
d) in respect of Gregory A. Blanchard, Michael R. Tynes and Simone MacKinnon respectively, amend Order in Council 96-208 dated March 26, 1996, by adding "for a term of office of five (5) years effective April 28, 1999" immediately after "Halifax County" in clause (a)(i), and by adding "for a term of office of five (5) years effective April 28, 1999" immediately after "Halifax County" in clause (a)(ii), and by adding "for a term of office of three (3) years effective April 28, 1999" immediately after "Cape Breton County" in clause (a)(iii); (
e) in respect of Leo F. McKay (
i) amend Order in Council 73-977 dated September 18, 1973, by adding "for a term of office of two (2) years effective April 28, 1999" immediately after "(Nova Scotia)" in clause (a); and (ii) amend Order in Council 75-84 dated January 23, 1975, by adding "for a term of office of two (2) years effective April 28, 1999" immediately after "(Nova Scotia)" in the last line thereof; (
f) in respect of Gunnar Jennegren amend Order in Council 92-643 dated June 23, 1992, by adding "for a term of office of one (1) year effective April 28, 1999" immediately after "(Nova Scotia)" in clause (b); (
g) in respect of Brian Matheson amend Order in Council 92-431 dated April 22, 1992, by adding "for a term of office of three (3) years effective April 28, 1999" immediately after "(Nova Scotia)" in clause (d); (
h) in respect of Edward M. MacNeil amend Order in Council 72-1138 dated October 24, 1972, by striking out the phrase "to replace James H. Dwyer, Halifax, resigned" and substituting "for a term of office of five (5) years effective April 28, 1999" in clause (a); (
i) in respect of James G. MacDonald amend Order in Council 71-12 dated January 12, 1971, by adding "for a term of office of five (5) years effective April 28, 1999" immediately after "James MacDonald of Sydney in the County of Cape Breton"; (
j) in respect of Daniel MacDonald amend Order in Council 71-12 dated January 12, 1971, by adding "for a term of office of three (3) years effective April 28, 1999" immediately after "Daniel MacDonald of Port Hawkesbury in the County of Richmond"; (
k) in respect of Dennis Richard amend Order in Council 91-508 dated April 23, 1991, by striking out the phrase "and to determine that he shall hold such office at pleasure" in clause (b), and substituting "for a term of office of one (1) year effective April 28, 1999"; (
l) in respect of Gary Dean amend Order in Council 91-1197 dated October 8, 1991, by striking out "and to determine that such office shall be held at pleasure" and substituting "for a term of office of three (3) years effective April 28, 1999"; and (
m) in respect of David Reid, Sylvester J. Atkinson and Donna Van Buskirk, respectively, amend Order in Council 95-692 dated September 6, 1995, by striking out "at pleasure" in clause (
c) and substituting "and for terms of office:", and adding in clause (c), "five (5) years effective April 28, 1999" immediately before "David Reid", and "one (1) year effective April 28, 1999" immediately before "Sylvester J. Atkinson", and "three (3) years effective April 28, 1999" immediately before "Donna Van Buskirk".
