a) effective July 1, 2008, the land described in Appendix A and shown on the

sketch in Appendix B is separated from the County of Vermilion River and

annexed to the Village of Marwayne,

(

b) any taxes owing to the County of Vermilion River at the end of June 30,

2008 in respect of the annexed land are transferred to and become payable to

the Village of Marwayne together with any lawful penalties and costs levied

in respect of those taxes, and the Village of Marwayne upon collecting those

taxes, penalties and costs must pay them to the County of Vermilion River,

(

c) the assessor for the County of Vermilion River must assess the annexed land

and the assessable improvements to it for the purposes of taxation in 2008,

(

d) taxes payable in 2008 in respect of the assessable land and any

improvements to it are to be paid to and retained by the County of

Vermilion River,

(

e) any complaint received by the Village of Marwayne or the County of

Vermilion River in respect of an assessment prepared for the purpose of

taxation in 2008 remains with the County of Vermilion River, and

(

f) the assessor for the Village of Marwayne must assess the annexed land and

the assessable improvements to it, for the purposes of taxation in 2009 and

subsequent years.

Order Designating Provincial Historic Resource

I, Lindsay Blackett, Minister charged with the administration of the Historical

Resources Act, R.S.A. 2000 cH-9, do hereby:

1. Pursuant to

section 20, subsection (1) of that Act, designate the site known as the

Isolation Hospital, together with the land legally described as:

Plan 0414555, Block 2, Lot 12 excepting thereout all mines and minerals

and municipally located at 1920 - 7th Avenue South in Lethbridge, Alberta

as a Provincial Historic Resource,

2. Give notice that pursuant to

section 20, subsection (9) of that Act, no person shall

destroy, disturb, alter, restore, or repair any Provincial Historic Resource or

remove any historic object from a Provincial Historic Resource without the

written approval of the Minister.

3. Further give notice that the following provisions of

section 20, subsections

(11) and (12) of that Act now apply in case of sale or inheritance of the above

mentioned resource:

(11) the owner of an historic resource that is subject to an order under

subsection (1) shall, at least 30 days before any sale or other

disposition of the historic resource, serve notice of the proposed sale

or other disposition on the Minister,

(12) when a person inherits an historic resource that is subject to an

order under subsection (1), that person shall notify the Minister of

the inheritance within 15 days after the historic resource is

transferred to the person.
