Order in Council 1296/2025

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to subsection 37(2) of the Provincial Animal Welfare Services Act, 2019 and subsection 16(4) of the Adjudicative Tribunals Accountability, Governance and Appointments Act, 2009 , Debra Backstein of Toronto be appointed as part-time member and vice-chair of the Animal Care Review Board for a fixed term of two years, effective the date this Order in Council is made.

Further,

whereas Debra Backstein was appointed as a part-time member of the Animal Care Review Board for a fixed term of two years, effective November 2, 2023 by Order in Council O.C. 1587/2023;

Further,

whereas Debra Backstein was reappointed as a part-time member of the Animal Care Review Board for a fixed term of three years, effective November 2, 2025 by Order in Council O.C. 917/2025;

Therefore, Order in Council O.C. 1587/2023 and Order in Council O.C. 917/2025 be revoked effective the date this Order in Council is made.
