OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated September 15, 2021, and pursuant to
Section 6 of
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act, is pleased to, effective October 5, 2021, provide approval for the Attorney General and Minister of Justice to opt into the Immigration and Refugee legal aid portion of the Contribution Agreement Respecting Criminal Legal Aid and Immigration and Refugee Legal Aid (Agreement), attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation as
Schedule “A”, and to direct funding obtained through the Agreement to the Halifax Refugee Clinic for immigration and refugee legal aid.
