Valleyview Provincial Park Designation

made under

Section 8 of the

Provincial Parks Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367

O.I.C. 73-149 (February 13, 1973), N.S. Reg. 137/73

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and

Forests dated the 4th day of January, A.D., 1973, and pursuant to the provisions of

Section 2 of

Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act , is pleased

to:

(

a) constitute all that area of land including land covered with water owned by Her

Majesty in right of the Province of Nova Scotia and situate at or near the Town of

Bridgetown, in the County of Annapolis, Province of Nova Scotia, to be a provincial

park, said area of land being included within the boundaries of the lands described in

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation and

shown outlined on the Plan of Survey marked

Schedule “B” attached to the report

and recommendation; and

(

b) declare the name by which the park shall be known as “Valleyview Provincial Park”.

Valleyview Provincial Park

All that certain lot piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being near the Town of

Bridgetown, County of Annapolis, Province of Nova Scotia, shown on plan #E-5-15 on file at

the Crown Land Records Office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax and being more

particularly described as follows:

Beginning at an iron pipe situated on the northern boundary of a paved highway leading from

Bridgetown to Hampton, said iron pipe having coordinates N 16, 305, 895.3 E 790, 933.9

based on the Nova Scotia 3° Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 5 Central Meridian 64° 30'

west longitude;

From thence following the aforementioned boundary of the paved highway in a westerly and

then northerly direction to point “A” as shown on said plan #E-5-15, said point “A” being

situate where the easterly boundary of the said paved highway intersects the westerly boundary

of an abandoned highway;

Thence in a southeasterly direction to point “B” being the most northerly point of intersection

of the easterly boundary of the said abandoned highway with the normal high water line of

Croskill Lake so-called as shown on said plan #E-5-15;

Thence following the normal high water line of Croskill Lake in a southeasterly, southerly,

northeasterly and northerly direction to an iron post having coordinates N

16, 308, 002.4 E 789, 673.6;

Thence (by grid bearings) north sixty-seven degrees nineteen minutes east, three hundred sixty

decimal eleven feet to an iron post having coordinates N 16, 308, 141.3 E 790, 005.9;

Thence south twenty-two degrees thirty-three minutes east, four hundred thirty-one decimal

forty-six feet to an iron post having coordinates N 16, 307, 742.8 E 790, 171.4;

Thence south twenty-two degrees twenty-six minutes east, one thousand nine hundred

ninety-eight decimal sixty-five feet to the place of beginning containing one hundred thirty-four

acres more or less.

Saving and excepting from the above described lands any rights-of-way or easements for

public use or public utilities which affect or may affect these lands.
