Statute: Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation (Nova Scotia) Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Energy dated January 20, 2016, and pursuant to Sections 9, 10, 12 and 15 of

Chapter 3 of the Acts of 1987, the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation (Nova Scotia) Act , is pleased to: (

a) appoint Roger Percy, of Halifax Regional Municipality (Lake Echo) as a non-civil servant member to the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board for a term of office of six years commencing February 26, 2016; (

b) appoint Harold Giddens, of Wentworth, Colchester County, as a non-civil servant alternate member to the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board for a term of office of six years commencing February 26, 2016, to serve in the absence or incapacity of any member first appointed by the Provincial Government; (

c) order that Roger Percy be remunerated for his service in the amount of $5,000.00 annually plus $300.00 per day for each day spent on Board business to a maximum of 130 days per annum and be reimbursed for reasonable travelling expenses actually incurred in fulfilling his duties as a member, in accordance with policies agreed to by the Provincial Government and the Government of Canada; and (

d) order that Harold Giddens be remunerated for his service in the amount of $5,000.00 annually plus $300.00 per day for each day spent on Board business to a maximum of 130 days per annum and be reimbursed for reasonable travelling expenses actually incurred in fulfilling his duties as an alternate member in accordance with policies agreed to by the Provincial Government and the Government of Canada.
