Mabou Provincial Park Designation

made under

Section 8 of the

Provincial Parks Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367

O.I.C. 74-1377 (December 19, 1974), N.S. Reg. 126/74

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and

Forests dated the 26th day of November, A.D., 1974, pursuant to the provisions of

Section 2 of

Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act , is pleased

to:

(

a) constitute all that area of land including land covered with water owned by Her

Majesty in right of the Province of Nova Scotia, and situate at or near Mabou,

in the County of Inverness, Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial Park,

said area of land being included within the boundaries of the lands described in

Schedule “A” and shown outlined on the Plan of Survey marked

Schedule

“B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and

recommendation; and

(

b) declare the name by which the park shall be known as “Mabou Provincial

Park”.

Mabou Provincial Park

All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being at or near Mabou, County of

Inverness, Province of Nova Scotia as the same is shown on Plan E-5-39, recorded in the

Crown Land Registry office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax, and being more

particularly described as follows:

Beginning at a Crown Land Iron Post (C.L.I.P.) marked 1218 situate at the intersection of the

northwestern boundary of Highway No. 19 and the western boundary of the Old Road;

Thence south forty-four degrees fifty minutes west (S 44° 50'

W) along the northwestern

boundary of said Highway No. 19 distant four hundred sixteen decimal forty-six (416.46) feet

to a C.L.I.P. marked 1217;

Thence north forty-three degrees twenty minutes west (N 43° 20' W), distant three hundred

ninety decimal zero six (390.06) feet to a C.L.I.P. marked 1221;

Thence north forty-four degrees fifty-one minutes east (N 44° 51' E), distant seven hundred

ninety-five decimal ninety-six (795.96) feet to a C.L.I.P. marked 1220;

Thence south twenty degrees forty-five minutes east (S 20° 45' E), distant two hundred five

decimal thirty-two feet to a C.L.I.P. marked 1219 set on the western boundary of said Old

Road;

Thence south thirty-two degrees thirty minutes west (S 32° 30' W), along the western boundary

of said Old Road distant one hundred thirty-three decimal thirty-two (133.32) feet to a C.L.I.P.;

Thence south fourteen degrees thirty minutes west (S 14° 30' W), along the western boundary of

said Old Road distant one hundred eighty-two decimal twenty-six (182.26) feet to the place of

beginning.

The above bearings are magnetic of the year 1964.

The above described lands containing an area of five decimal five (5.5) acres more or less.
