B.C. Reg. 63/2026 , deposited April 27, 2026, under the FIREARM ACT [section 10] and FIREARM VIOLENCE PREVENTION ACT [section 102]. Order in Council 156/2026, approved and ordered April 27, 2026.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective October 1, 2026,

(

a) the Firearm Violence Prevention Act , S.B.C. 2021, c. 7, is brought into force, except the following:

(i) sections 5 (2), 15 and 16 (c);

(ii) Parts 4 and 5;

(iii)

section 62 (

h) and (j);

(iv) sections 65 (1) (

i) and 66 (1) (b), (c), (d), (e), (

f) and (g), (4) and (5);

(v) sections 78 (2), 81 (2) (c), 83, 84, 89 (

b) and 93, and

(

b) the Firearm (Authorization) Regulation, B.C. Reg. 373/80, is repealed.
