OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Community Services dated August 22, 2006, and pursuant to

Section 21 of

Chapter 27 of the Acts of 2000, the Employment Support and Income Assistance Act, is pleased to amend the Employment Support and Income Assistance Regulations, N.S. Reg. 25/2001, made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 2001-138, dated March 23, 2001, to change how income tax refunds are treated as chargeable income and to increase and standardize the personal allowance and shelter allowances for income assistance recipients, in the manner set forth in

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, effective on and after October 1, 2006.
