The Garagemen's Lien Act is hereby amended. 2.

Section .4- is amended by striking out subsection (3) and by sUbstituting the following:

(3) The registration derk shall ca;use to be kept a record of all claims of Hen filed with him according to the make, the year of manufacture and the serial number of the motor vehicle to which the daim relates, and shall cause to be endorsed upon each claim received by him the time and date of its receipt. 3. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes I. This Bill will amend

chapter of the Revised Statutes of Alberta 1970. 2. Section 4 (3) reads:

(3) The regis'tration clerk shall cause an alphabetical index to be kept of all claims 'Of lien filed with him ac·cording t,o the maker of the motor vehicle and s.eting out the model, year, and serial number of the moto,r vehicle t'O which the cla,im relates, and shall cause to be endorsed upon ea,ch claim received by him the time and date of its receipt.
