B.C. Reg. 141/2015 , deposited July 16, 2015, under the GREENHOUSE GAS REDUCTION (RENEWABLE AND LOW CARBON FUEL REQUIREMENTS) ACT [section 26]. Order in Council 412/2015, approved and ordered July 15, 2015.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Renewable and Low Carbon Fuel Requirements Regulation, B.C. Reg. 394/2008, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 1 (1) of the Renewable and Low Carbon Fuel Requirements Regulation, B.C. Reg. 394/2008, is amended by adding the following definition:

“natural gas-based gasoline” means gasoline derived from natural gas but does not include renewable fuel; .

2 The following

section is added:

Inclusion in “gasoline class fuel”

3.01 Natural gas-based gasoline is prescribed as an energy source for the purposes of paragraph (b) (ii) of the definition of “gasoline class fuel” in

section 1 of the Act.

3 Table 2 in

section 11.02 (2) is amended in Column 1 by striking out “ Petroleum-based gasoline or renewable fuel in relation to gasoline class fuel ” and substituting “ Petroleum-based gasoline, natural gas-based gasoline or renewable fuel in relation to gasoline class fuel ”.

4 Table 3 in

section 11.02 (3) is amended in Column 1

(

a) by striking out “ Petroleum-based diesel and diesel produced from biomass ” and substituting “ Petroleum-based diesel or diesel produced from biomass ”, and

(

b) by striking out “ Petroleum-based gasoline and gasoline produced from biomass ” and substituting “ Petroleum-based gasoline, natural gas-based gasoline or gasoline produced from biomass ”.

5 The table in

section 11.04 is repealed and the following substituted:

6 Sections 14 (1), 15 and 17 are amended by striking out “

section 11 (2) or 12 (2) or (4) ” and substituting “

section 11 (2) or (4) or 12 (2) ”.
