Statute: Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness dated July 13, 2012, and pursuant to

Section 65 of

Chapter 42 of the Acts of 2005, the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act, and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint under clause 65(2)(

b) of the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act, John Boddie of Tantallon, Halifax County, as lawyer member of the Review Board for a term of two years commencing on August 7, 2012: (

b) fix remuneration for Mr. Boddie during his term of office in accordance with rates set in Order in Council 2011-183 dated May 24, 2011; and (

c) direct that the reasonable expenses incurred by Mr. Boddie in fulfilling his duties associated with the Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act be paid in accordance with the guidelines approved for civil servants.
