OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated September 22, 2004, and pursuant to

Section 84 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act,

Section 2 of

Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act, and

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all other authority in him vested, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Kenneth Meech as Assistant Deputy Minister, Department of Health effective September 27, 2004; (

b) designate Kenneth Meech as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act in the performance of his duties that may be from time to time delegated to him pursuant to

Section 84 of the Public Service Act; (

c) direct that Kenneth Meech shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan; (

d) designate Kenneth Meech to be an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act; (

e) fix and determine the salary of Kenneth Meech to be at such rate as may be determined from time to time by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with MCP 35 Pay Plan; and (

f) direct that Kenneth Meech be eligible for pay for performance in accordance with the Pay for Performance for Senior Officials policy.
