OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries dated March 18, 2003, and pursuant to
Section 3 of
Chapter 113 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crop and Livestock Insurance Act, is pleased to: (
a) reappoint Avard Bentley of Westchester, Cumberland County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission for a term commencing May 1, 2003, and ending April 30, 2006; (
b) appoint Robert Michael Walsh of RR#1 Berwick, Kings County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission for a term commencing May 1, 2003, and ending April 30, 2006; (
c) approve the remuneration of $100.00 per day for Avard Bentley and Robert Michael Walsh plus reimbursement for necessary expenses in accordance with government policy; and (
d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Avard Bentley or Robert Michael Walsh and indemnify them from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
