OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Education dated July 12, 2001, and pursuant to

Section 88 of

Chapter 1 of the Acts of 1995-96, the Education Act, is pleased to: (

a) approve a funding allocation, totaling $1,272,000 for fiscal year 2001-02, for Additions/Alterations and Repairs/Renovations projects identified in

Schedule "A", attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, as a Tangible Capital Assets expenditure within the Department of Education's 2001-02 capital expenditure approval; (

b) approve the Additions/Alterations and Repairs/Renovations projects and cost estimates for fiscal year 2001-02 as set out in

Schedule "A", attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; (

c) approve funding allocations, totaling $2,189,440 for fiscal year 2001-02, for Repairs/Renovations projects (Robb Joists) identified in

Schedule "B", attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, as an unbudgeted operating expenditure for the Department of Education; (

d) approve the Repairs/Renovations projects and cost estimates for fiscal year 2001-02 as set out in

Schedule "B", attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; (

e) approve a funding allocation, totaling $3,310,000 for fiscal year 2001-02, for Additions/Alterations and Repairs/Renovations projects identified in

Schedule "C", attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, as an unbudgeted operating expenditure for the Department of Education; (

f) approve the Additions/Alterations and Repairs/Renovations projects and cost estimates for fiscal year 2001-02 as set out in

Schedule "C", attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; (

g) authorize the Minister of Education and the Minister of Transportation and Public Works to execute such instruments as may be necessary for the purpose of this Order and authorize either or both of them to enter into an agreement with a school board referred to in Schedules "A", "B" and "C" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation to attain the purpose of this Order; and (

h) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Public Works to do whatever is necessary to acquire the land and buildings for the remediation and improvements of the schools referred to in Schedules "A", "B" and "C" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, in the name of Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Nova Scotia, and authorize the Minister of Transportation and Public Works on completion of the project to convey to the school boards referred to in Schedules "A", "B" and "C", in which the schools referred to in Schedules "A", "B" and "C" are situate, the land and buildings, equipment and furnishings.
