OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated December 5 , 2014, and pursuant to Sections 5 and 7 of
Chapter 17 of the Acts of 1990, the Law Reform Commission Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint Catherine D.A. Watson of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a commissioner of the Law Reform Commission of Nova Scotia for a term of three years effective February 3, 2015; (
b) confirm that Catherine D.A. Watson shall receive remuneration in accordance with rates set in Order in Council 91-76 dated January 22, 1991; (
c) confirm that Catherine D.A. Watson shall be paid travelling and living expenses in accordance with Order in Council 91-76 dated January 22, 1991; (
d) direct that Catherine D.A. Watson be appointed as successor to Peter Mancini, who was appointed as a commissioner of the Law Reform Commission of Nova Scotia by Order in Council 2011-204 dated June 7, 2011, and whose term of office expired June 6, 2014; and (
e) revoke the appointment of John L. McMullan, who was appointed as a commissioner of the Law Reform Commission of Nova Scotia by Order in Council 2010-227 dated June 1, 2010, and whose term of office expired June 1, 2013.
