Order in Council 531/2026

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 480/2023, dated April 6, 2023, Kari Dart was appointed as a Deputy Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police for a period not to exceed three years, effective April 6, 2023,

and

whereas Kari Dart continued in office as a Deputy Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police under subsection 56(5) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019,

and

whereas it is desirable that Kari Dart be reappointed as a Deputy Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police ,

therefore , pursuant to subsection 56 (1) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019, Kari Dart be reappointed as a Deputy Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not to exceed three years, effective from the later of April 6, 2026 and the date this Order in Council is made.
