An Act to Amend the Beaverbrook Art Gallery Act Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as fol- lows: 1

Section 5 of the Beaverbrook Art Gallery Act, chap- ter B-1 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended (

a) by repealing subsection (5) and substituting the following: 5(5) The Board of Governors shall elect from its mem- bers a Chair. (

b) by adding after subsection (5) the following: 5(6) The term of office of the Chair of the Board of Gov- ernors shall be for one year, or until his or her term as Governor expires, whichever occurs first. 5(7) A Governor appointed under subsection (2) may be removed for cause by the Lieutenant-Governor in Coun- cil. Transitional provisions 2(1) Any selection of a person as Chairman or acting Chairman of the Board of Governors of The Beaver- brook Art Gallery is revoked. PROJET DE LOI 26 Loi modifiant la

a) par l’abrogation du paragraphe (5) et son rem- placement par ce qui suit : 5(5) Le conseil d’administration élit un président parmi ses membres.

b) par l’adjonction, après le paragraphe (5), de ce qui suit : 5(6) Le mandat du président du conseil d’administration est d’un an ou, si elle se produit plus tôt, jusqu’à l’expira- tion de son mandat d’administrateur. 5(7) Un administrateur nommé en vertu du paragra- phe (2) peut être relevé de ses fonctions pour motif vala- ble par le lieutenant-gouverneur en conseil. Dispositions transitoires 2(1) Le choix de toute personne à

titre de président ou de président suppléant du conseil d’administration de la Galerie d’art Beaverbrook est révoqué.

Loi sur la Galerie d’art Beaverbrook 2(2) No action, application or other proceeding lies or shall be instituted against the Minister responsible for the Culture and Sport Secretariat or the Crown in right of the Province as a result of the revocation under sub- section (1). 2(2) Sont irrecevables les actions, requêtes ou autres instances introduites contre le ministre responsable du Secrétariat à la Culture et au Sport ou la Couronne du chef de la province en raison de la révocation prévue au paragraphe (1).

Section 1 (

a) The existing provision is as follows: 5(5) The Chairman of the Board of Governors shall be such member thereof as is selected by the Custodian or Custodians. (

b) New provisions.
