EXPLANATORY NOTE NOTE EXPLICATIVE This Bill enables the minister and a school divisio n to agree to continue a regional vocational school. Le présent projet de loi permet au ministre et à un e division scolaire de conclure une entente portant s ur le maintien d'une école professionnelle régionale.

Loi sur les écoles publiques . 2(1) The following is added after subsection 49(2): 2(1) Il est ajouté, après le paragraphe 49(2), ce qui suit : Agreement to continue regional vocational school 49(2.1) If an agreement under subsection (1) is or will be terminated but a school division that was a party to it wishes the regional vocational school to cont inue, (

a) the minister may enter into an agreement with the school division and the governing board to continue the regional vocational school; and Entente portant sur le maintien d'une école professionnelle régionale 49(2.1) Lorsque l'entente visée au paragraphe (1) est résiliée ou le sera mais qu'une division scolai re qui était

section may enter into subsidiary agreements w ith each other — and in the case of an agreement under subsection (1) that establishes a governing board t o administer the regional vocational school, with the board — respecting the provision of supplies and services. section 1 of The Adult Learning Centres Act is amended by striking out " under subsection 49(1 )" and substituting " or continued under
