Statute: Expropriation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Active Transit, dated May 25, 2021, and pursuant to

Section 80 of

Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act is pleased to: (

a) authorize the conveyance of the parcel, identified as Lot X, containing an area of 0.069 hectares (687.6 sq. metres), more or less, located at or near Oakmount Drive, Bedford, Halifax County, more particularly described in

Schedule “A” and shown on

Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, to WM Fares Family Inc. for the consideration of $40,000 plus HST of $6,000 for a total purchase price of $46,000; (

b) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Active Transit to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to cause the conveyance of the land herein above described; and (

c) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Active Transit to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purpose of this Order.
