OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated April 6, 2021, and pursuant to

Section 26 of

Chapter 214 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Human Rights Act, and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased to, effective April 19, 2021: (

a) revoke the appointment of Kymberly Franklin as Acting Director of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission, made by Order in Council 2021-44 dated February 4, 2021; (

b) appoint E. Joseph Fraser as Director of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for a term of five (5) years; (

c) fix the salary of E. Joseph Fraser at $163,571.98 annually in accordance with a salary range equivalent to the Senior Official Pay Plan (SO1) and subject to all applicable pay plan increases to the Senior Official Pay Plan (SO1); and (

d) direct that benefits and other terms and conditions of E. Joseph Fraser's appointment be outlined by contract.
