The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated February 23, 2022, and pursuant to Sections 238 and 239 of

Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers Compensation Act , is pleased to:

(

a) appoint Lianne Chang of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a full-time Appeal Commissioner of the Workers Compensation Appeals Tribunal, subject to dismissal for just cause, for a term of office of two years, commencing March 15, 2022;

(

b) revoke the full-time appointment of Alison Hickey of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) made by Order in Council 2021-17, dated January 26, 2021, effective April 1, 2022;

(

c) appoint Alison Hickey of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a part-time Appeal Commissioner of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal, subject to dismissal for just cause, for a term of office commencing April 1, 2022, up to and including March 31, 2024;

(

d) fix the remuneration of Lianne Chang as a full-time Appeal Commissioner in accordance with a salary range equivalent to the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC 12) in the range of $80,530.58 - $110,730.62 (EC 12 salary only), subject to all applicable enactments, regulations and policies of the Public Service Commission with respect to the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC 12);

(

e) fix the remuneration of Alison Hickey as a part-time Appeal Commissioner in accordance with a salary range equivalent to half of the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC 12) in the range of $80,530.58 - $110,730.62 (EC 12 salary only), subject to all applicable enactments, regulations and policies of the Public Service Commission with respect to the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC 12);

(

f) order that civil service benefits be extended to Lianne Chang as a full-time Appeal Commissioner of the Workers Compensation Appeals Tribunal on the same terms and conditions as they are extended to members of the civil service; and

(

g) order that civil service benefits be extended to Alison Hickey as a part-time Appeal Commissioner of the Workers Compensation Appeals Tribunal on the same terms and conditions as they are extended to members of the civil service.
