OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated November 15, 2011, and pursuant to Sections 672.38 and 672.39 of

Chapter C-46 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Criminal Code, is pleased, effective November 22, 2011, to:

a) reappoint J. Walter Thompson, Q.C., Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Review Board for term of three years;

b) appoint J. Dena Bryan of Pictou, Pictou County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Review Board for a term of three years;

c) appoint William Kilfoil, Oyster Pond, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Review Board for a term of three years;

d) determine the remuneration of J. Walter Thompson, Q.C., J. Dena Bryan and William Kilfoil be at the rate of $75.00 per hour, together with reasonable expenses; and

e) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against J. Walter Thompson, Q.C., J. Dena Bryan and William Kilfoil and indemnify them from personal liability provided the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointments and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
