STATUTES CORRECTION REGULATION, 2014

Corrections to Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development statutes

1 The following statutes are corrected as set out in

Schedule 1:

(

a) Local Government Act ;

(

b) Museum Act ;

(

c) Vancouver Charter .

Corrections to Ministry of Environment statutes

2 The College of Applied Biology Act is corrected as set out in

Schedule 2.

Corrections to Ministry of Finance statutes

3 The following statutes are corrected as set out in

Schedule 3:

(

a) Finance Statutes Amendment Act, 2012 ;

(

b) Income Tax Act ;

(

c) Motor Fuel Tax Act .

Corrections to Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations statutes

4 The Range Act is corrected as set out in

Schedule 4.

Corrections to Ministry of Health statutes

5 The Health Professions Act is corrected as set out in

Schedule 5.

Corrections to Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training statutes

6 The Workers Compensation Act is corrected as set out in

Schedule 6.

Corrections to Ministry of Justice statutes

7 The Electoral Boundaries Commission Amendment Act, 2014 is corrected as set out in

Schedule 7.

Schedule 1

Local Government Act

Section 698 of the Local Government Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 323, is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) by striking out “ [ Remedial Action Requirements] ” and substituting “ [Remedial Action Requirements] ”, and

(

b) in subsection (3) by striking out “ [ remedial action after date specified for compliance] ” and substituting “ [remedial action after date specified for compliance] ”.

Section 800.2 (1) (c.2) is amended by striking out “ [ Dispute Resolution in Relation to Services] ” and substituting “ [Dispute Resolution in Relation to Services] ”.

Section 936 (5) (

a) is amended by striking out “ registerable ” and substituting “ registrable ”.

Museum Act

Section 4 (

a) of the Museum Act, S.B.C. 2003, c. 12, is amended by striking out “ achival ” and substituting “ archival ”.

Vancouver Charter

Section 126 (1) (

c) of the Vancouver Charter, S.B.C. 1953, c. 55, is amended by striking out “ office; ” and substituting “ office. ”

Schedule 2

College of Applied Biology Act

Section 25 (3) of the College of Applied Biology Act, S.B.C. 2002, c. 68, is amended by renumbering subparagraphs (

i) and (ii) as paragraphs (

a) and (b), respectively.

Schedule 3

Finance Statutes Amendment Act, 2012

Section 33 (

d) of the Finance Statutes Amendment Act, 2012, S.B.C. 2012, c. 12, is amended by striking out “ 24, 27 or 51.21 (3) ” and substituting “ 24, 27, or 51.21 (3) ”.

Income Tax Act

Section 25.1 (1) of the Income Tax Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 215, is amended in the definition of “excluded expense”

(

a) in paragraph (e.1) by striking out “ Act; ” and substituting “ Act, ”, and

(

b) in paragraph (f.2) (ii) by striking out “ applies. ” and substituting “ applies, or ”.

Motor Fuel Tax Act

Section 37.1 (3) of the Motor Fuel Tax Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 317, is amended by striking out “ subjection (4), ” and substituting “ subsection (4), ”.

Schedule 4

Range Act

Section 44 (2) of the Range Act, S.B.C. 2004, c. 71, is amended at the end of each of paragraphs (

c) to (

e) by striking out the comma and substituting a semicolon.

Schedule 5

Health Professions Act

1 Sections 18.2 (2) (b) (

i) and 19 (6.1) of the Health Professions Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 183, are amended by striking out “ or (1.3) ” and substituting “ or (l.3) ”.

Section 32.1 (

a) and (

b) is amended by striking out “ practice ” in both places and substituting “ practise ”.

Section 32.2 (1) is amended by striking out “ practise ” and substituting “ practice ”.

Schedule 6

Workers Compensation Act

1 Sections 39 (3) and 47 (2) of the Workers Compensation Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 492, are amended by striking out “ instalment ” and substituting “ installment ”.

Schedule 7

Electoral Boundaries Commission Amendment Act, 2014

Section 3 of the Electoral Boundaries Commission Amendment Act, 2014, S.B.C. 2014, c. 24, as it amends

section 10 of the Electoral Boundaries Commission Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 107, is amended by striking out “ 85 ” and substituting “ 79 ” and by striking out “ 87, ” and substituting “ 85, ”.
