Order in Council 358/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to an Order in Council Kelly Hannah-Moffat was appointed as the Independent Expert on human rights and corrections (“Independent Expert”) to provide assistance in the implementation of the terms of an order entered as a consent order with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and dated January 16, 2018 (the “Order”);

Therefore pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of persons who serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities, the following remuneration is determined:

Kelly Hannah-Moffat shall be compensated at the rate of $ 1200.00 per diem ;

Kelly Hannah-Moffat shall be reimbursed for work-related expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the Independent Expert in accordance with the Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other TB/MBC directives.
