WHEREAS the Government of Alberta supports survivors and stands firmly with

WHEREAS community-based organizations across Alberta acknowledge the month

of May as a time to raise awareness of sexual violence; and

WHEREAS Sexual Violence Awareness Month in Alberta will provide an

opportunity each May to increase recognition of sexual violence as a social, economic

and public health issue and to celebrate the contributions of all those involved in

eradicating sexual violence in Alberta;
