Statute: Crown Lands Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated June 4, 2010, and pursuant to Sections 7 and 16 of

Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act, is pleased to authorize the Minister of Natural Resources on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Nova Scotia to: (

a) subject to the terms and conditions outlined in paragraph (b), convey to Dwight Alaffe and Dulcie Alaffe, their respective heirs, executors, successors or assigns, by deed or grant, a lot of Crown land, shown outlined in dark grey on

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, containing 38.4¦ hectares (94.9¦ acres) to located on Beechmont Road, in the County of Cape Breton; (

b) in exchange for the Crown land noted in paragraph (a), accept from Dwight Alaffe and Dulcie Alaffe, their heirs, executors, successors, administrators or assigns, a parcel of land shown outlined in dark grey on

Schedule "B" attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, containing 40.5¦ hectares (100¦ acres) located at Eskasoni Road, Island View, in the County of Cape Breton, subject to the condition that Dwight Alaffe and Dulcie Alaffe, their respective heirs, executors, successors, or assigns, be able to certify title to the land in a manner deemed sufficient by the Department of Justice; and (

c) prepare and have executed such documents as may be required to achieve the purpose of this Order.
